چکیده

The separation and recycling of effective resources in Fischer-Tropsch wax residue (FTWR) are urgent because the environmental hazards energy waste they bring. In this study, organic solvents used to separate recyclable from FTWR efficiently, achieving goals “Energy Recycle” “Fisher-Tropsch Wax Residue Treatment”. response surface methodology (RSM) analysis model accurately evaluates relationship among temperature, residence time, liquid–solid ratio, desorption rate obtains best process parameters. results show that product yield can reach 82.28% under conditions 80 °C, 4 h, ratio 24.4 mL/g. Through kinetic FTWR, conforms pseudo second-order internal diffusion model. thermodynamic function showed there were not only van der Waals forces process, but other strong interaction such as hydrogen bonds. addition, Langmuir, Freundlich, BET equations describe equilibrium. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analyze pore structure during desorption. X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), Gas chromatography-mass spectrometer (GC-MS) confirmed product’s main component was hydrocarbons (50.38 wt%). Furthermore, naphthenic (22.95 wt%), primary alcohol (11.62 esters (8.7 aromatic (6.35 wt%) compounds found be further purified applied industrial fields. This study shows using petroleum ether recover clean is feasible efficient has potential application prospects.

Self-association of plant wax components: a thermodynamic analysis.

Excess specific heat, C(p)()(E), of binary mixtures of selected components of plant cuticular waxes has been determined. This thermodynamic parameter gives an explanation of the special molecular arrangement in crystalline and amorphous zones of plant waxes. C(p)()(E) values indicate that hydrogen bonding between chains results in the formation of amorphous zones. Conclusions on the self-asembl...

Residue bone wax simulating spinal tumour: a case report.

Bone wax is primarily used in case of bleeding of the diploic vessels of the bones in surgical procedures. It is useful in neurosurgical procedures because of its inert, nonreactive characteristics. Bone wax is safe material and its use rarely leads to complications but there may be complications of over use. It can cause direct pressure of neural tissue as a mass, simulating tumour with the sy...

Staging of the Fischer-Tropsch Reactor with a Cobalt-Based Catalyst

A method for systematic reactor design, described by Hillestad [1], is applied to the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis. The reactor path is sectioned into stages and design functions are optimized to maximize an objective function. Two different objective functions are considered: the yield of wax and a measure of the profitability. With the chosen kinetic model [2] and the path temperature constraine...
